About Pack 274

A parent-led Cub Scout pack for families in Almaden Valley, San Jose, including many from the Graystone Elementary community.

Who we are

Pack 274 is run entirely by volunteer parents. Cub Scouting is for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade; Scouts are grouped into dens by grade, and the dens together make up the pack. Families take part alongside their Scouts — that is a feature, not a requirement to become a leader.

How Pack 274 meets

Most pack meetings are held at Graystone Elementary School at 6:45 PM. Depending on the activity, the pack may gather in the Superdome or outside. Pack meetings bring all the dens together for a shared activity, an event, recognition of what Scouts have earned, or another pack-wide program.

Exact times and locations vary by event, so always check the current calendar before you head out.

Den meetings

Den meetings are rank-specific: each den meets on its own, working on the Adventures for its grade. Each den leader organizes the location and time for that den, so den meeting details vary by den rather than following one pack-wide place and time.

A typical month

Pack 274 usually has about one pack meeting and one den meeting each month. That is our normal rhythm, not a rigid rule: campouts, service projects, special activities, holidays, and each den's own calendar can change what a given month looks like.
